OUR HISTORY

5 GENERATIONS

Our great-great-grandfather Joan opened the first shop in 1895 in Granollers, now run by the fourth and fifth generations. Great-grandfather Amadeu opened his parents' shop and also set up a small factory in the basement. There, he designed and produced his own collection of sweaters. In the photo, you can see his workbook.

THE FIRST IAIOS

In 1995, the family opened a new store called DRACS. Among other products, they sold their first IAIOS. These were sweaters made from recycled yarn and manufactured for their own sale.

Unfortunately, the jerseys were discontinued because at the time, recycled products weren't valued as they are today. Over the years, due to the textile crisis, the soul of the DRACS store gradually faded until we closed our doors in 2012.

DRACS, HANDICRAFTS, DESIGN AND PROXIMITY

Three years after closing, this small shop reopened its doors, inspired by inspiration, with a new concept: selling locally sourced, designer, and high-quality products. That's when we decided to revive and reinvent the IAIOS brand.

Today, DRACS is a unique business that welcomes visitors from all over the region. The store sells only locally sourced products with other values such as sustainability, tradition, and culture.

We believe that commerce is much more than selling products. Stores are spaces for the exchange of culture, knowledge, and emotions. We invite you to visit us at Calle Santa Esperança 7 in Granollers.

THE NEW IAIOS

Along with the reopening of DRACS, we wanted to offer a unique product that brought together all our values. We came up with the idea of bringing back those traditional sweaters that were no longer being made. Thus, IAIOS was born and recycled, with a strong commitment to social, environmental, and design.
