Many of the best designs are anonymous and the result of long refinement by many hands over generations.

"The objects of the people are often the most intelligent. They've been shaped by time, not by fashion."

The making of our sweaters
Our sweaters are made with recycled yarn called regenerated wool. This yarn has long been a popular material for sweater making, valued for its durability and practicality.
However, this technique has been lost over time, as fast, low-cost fashion has gained ground among consumers. Today, very few spinning mills in Catalonia and Spain still work with regenerated wool.
Thanks to them, IAIOS has managed to rescue our grandparents' classic sweater, bringing it back into the spotlight for new generations.

Scraps
Scraps from textile factories such as spinning, clothing, etc. are recovered and the pieces containing wool or wool with acrylic are classified.

Bales
These scraps are separated by color and made into bundles with different shades.

Delete
The bales are carded to separate the fibers from the fabric. This creates the noil, which has a texture similar to virgin wool. The noils of different shades can be mixed like on a painter's palette. This way, we avoid the dyeing process.

Wick
With the noils, the spinning process can begin. The first step is to form the fibers into a churro or roving shape and wind them around a cylinder.

Thread
By twisting the wick, the thread is obtained, which is much stronger and thinner, and is wound onto 1kg cones.

Tissue
With the yarn cones, you can now design and knit the pieces that will make up the sweater. Generally: front, back, sleeves, and neck.

Making
The different pieces are sewn together. When making pattern adjustments, the resulting scraps go back to point 1.

Finishes
The finished garments are washed to eliminate unpleasant odors. They are also ironed, and the size, brand, and composition labels are sewn on.
Repair
Sweater Repair Campaign
IAIOS garments are not only timeless in design, but also designed to last and be repairable. As part of its commitment to sustainability and conscious consumption, IAIOS organizes a repair campaign every summer for anyone who needs their IAIOS sweater repaired. This repair service is another example of the brand's approach to circular and responsible fashion, offering customers the opportunity to extend the lifespan of their favorite garments. Furthermore, IAIOS handles shipping, returning the repaired, like-new sweater directly to the customer's home, ensuring that each piece will continue to accompany its owner for many years to come. An initiative that reinforces IAIOS' commitment to fashion that respects the past but is designed for the future.
