Perhaps not everyone knows that the grandfather of the green roofs saved lives 12 times during the war, the same war that turned him into a vegetarian, not only out of necessity, but also out of conviction. But Joan had already had his first intuition at the age of 10 when he understood that "the food of the future must necessarily be vegetarian." And probably for that reason, he was the first to grow his own garden on the roof of his house in the Horta neighborhood. Needless to say, his experience and conviction were the seed for many others to come. Throughout his life, Joan has shared his knowledge as an urban farmer about the rational diet of the future and the universal sense of good. "The most important harvest for the farmer is this exchange of vibrations with the plants... They are so noble that they only give us positive vibrations, and on top of that, they eliminate our poisons and our emissions..." But as a child, he had another idea: to be a "generator of love." Someone who loves others unconditionally, without expecting anything in return, but who generates a reaction. “When you do good, you generate love and experience a feeling of happiness and inner peace. Love, give thanks, and have no pride. Perhaps this is the secret of my longevity.”
