The grandfather of La Fageda (1951) Terrassa

Lluís's childhood was far from easy, marked by economic hardship and his father's violent temper. Born in Terrassa, he soon learned what hunger and fear were, but he also discovered the inner strength that defines him. He found refuge in nature and companionship among his fellow Scouts. As an adult, he started a family and had two children, but work became scarce, and losing his home led him into a deep depression that nearly cost him his life. With immense effort, he managed to pull through and found the refuge he needed in a cove in Tossa de Mar, where he lived alone, surviving on what he caught and reconnecting with nature. He has a special sensitivity for understanding the life within every plant and for sharing his peace with those around him. Once recovered, Lluís found love again, settled into a farmhouse in the Alta Garrotxa, and had two more children. Some time later, La Fageda offered him a job where Lluís finally felt valued and supported. He tended to the estate's gardens, bringing his warmth, serenity, and wisdom. Due to his personality and his physical appearance, with an impressive white beard, he ended up becoming the grandfather of La Fageda. Today, following his retirement, La Fageda wanted to pay tribute to him for his personality, defined by humility and willpower, and because he is an example of how work and nature contribute to healing and giving meaning to a life.
